| DAY FOUR still no voice.
yesterday additional symptom arose, mainly the congestion of one nostril while the other nostril was (is) runny. can't they both just pick one or the other. (obviously not)
pretty sure whatever glands or nodes or whatever that are in the neck are swollen.
fever still attempts to escalate every time i sleep.
am no longer chewing the cinnamon flavored chalk, have now moved on to Runny Rhino Sour Throat Chews. they look and taste like jelly beans. whether they actually work or not is up for debate.
mom thinks i should go to the doctor. ha, yeah, like i have the money for that.
very unproductive at work. the work i do in the four hours i'm there (they've been sending me home after that amount of time) would normally only take me two hours.
hurts to swallow. hurts to cough. hurts to sneeze.
got my second People magazine in the mail yesterday. apparently Britney Spears has a new beau. glad i didn't miss out on that delicious piece of news.
drinking warm liquids, specifically hot cocoa temporarily helps with the pain.
speaking of hot cocoa....

| i do believe that the great *takes a bow* Pennie Lane was correct all those times when she stated that Xanga was dead. even i don't get on here near as much as i used to. i do believe that all but a select few who made it great have up and moved on with life. may we all take a moment of silence for the late, great Xanga.
the fact that Xanga is gone does not mean i will not continue to write.
it has recently come to my attention that i have three armbands in my possession.... a red, white, and blue one that i stole from the Betas an Irish one from American Eagle that i stole from this guy i used to be friends with an Aqua Teen Hunger Force one that i stole from this guy i used to date i have no use from these armbands, i just like them so i took them.
apparently, they are no longer making Teen People. i still had a subscription to it and had no idea it was going to cease being published. (passive voice is fun!) i got a note from the makers of it giving me their deepest apologies and saying that they would instead send me People magazine for the duration of my subscription. now, of course, People comes out every week, whereas Teen People only came out every month, so we will see if i get one every week or if they randomly decide to send me the first one of every month. i'll keep you all up to date.
seeing as how i can so not afford to be sick right now, these are the drugs i am taking every 4 to 6 hours in attempt to lessen the duration of my illness.... knockoff version of Tylenol Cold & Flu Zicam ChewCaps, Cinnamon flavored (though, shockingly, tastes like cinnamon flavored chalk) Zicam Nasal Gel Tussin, Cough Formula in addition to that, i am constantly drinking water and i am never without a Halls Mento-lyptus, Cherry flavored in my mouth (this one actually does taste like cherry)

also, i was attempting to be at work this morning at 7:30, however i was about half a mile into my journey when i had to pull over into a parking lot and discovered that i had a flat tire. i called work several times and no one answered, so i can only assume that no one is getting there until later, because all my managers live on hills are probably stranded due to the ice.
i'd say this all is a pretty good start to my day.

| now that this show is on like six different channels, i watch it ALL the time! i really liked it when it first came out but i never seemed to watch it. i normally like a show much better once it's on reruns. that's the only time i watch America's Next Top Model, is when VH1 has days long marathons
if any of you have ever been addicted to Blogthings, i'm sure you're familiar with the "You Know You're From (Select State/City) When...." there are so many of these things that are just so darn specific, it amazes me. for example.... You Know You're From South Jersey When.... Down the road, in the middle of nowhere, is an Egyptian restaurant and a custard stand with a minature golf course.
You Know You're From Atlanta When.... The 8:00 AM rush hour is from 6:30 to 10:30 AM. The 5:00 PM rush hour is from 3:00 to 7:30 PM. Friday's rush hour starts Thursday afternoon, and lasts through 2:00 AM Saturday.
You Know You're From Chicago When.... It's
January and you see someone's kitchen chair in the street, and you know
that if you're a responsible citizen and bring it back to the sidewalk
you will be shot on sight.
you cannot help but laugh....

words the predictive text on my phone does not know.... multivitamin cheddar (really??) scrubs debutant taco (sad, but true)
words it does know.... depickicinu partar tragel gypsies
on a totally unrelated note.... i love being able to check my cell
phone usage online. it just makes me happy. i think you can tell a lot
about a person by things like this. for example, i checked it a few
days ago, and a week (seven days) into the month, i'd talked on the
phone a grand total of 22 minutes and sent/received 569 text messages. from this, what kind of person would you believe me to be?

| so i know everyone else did this like 2 years ago, but i don't care, i'm doing it now (for some reason it didn't give me the fun box thing that it's suppose to go in. i don't approve but i've given up on trying)
| Your Life: The Soundtrack | | Opening credits: | Six Pacs - The Getaway People | | Waking up: | Tequila Sunrise - The Eagles | | Average day: | Running on Sunshine - Jesus Jackson (or Streetcorner Symphony - Rob Thomas) | | First date: | First Date - Blink 182 (how cliche of me) | | Falling in love: | Banana Pancakes - Jack Johnson | | Love scene: | Crash - Dave Matthews Band (or You and Me - Lifehouse) | | Fight scene: | Beat It - Michael Jackson (because it would obviously be a dance off fight) | | Breaking up: | Love Hurts - Nazareth | | Getting back together: | Tiny Dancer - Elton John (or, if you need something more upbeat, Heat of the Moment - Asia) | | Secret love: | Someone Like You - Van Morrison | | Life's okay: | As Things Collide - Maroon 5/Kara's Flowers | | Mental breakdown: | You May Be Right - Billy Joel | | Driving: | Son's Gonna Rise - Citizen Cope | | Learning a lesson: | Mad Season - Matchbox 20 | | Deep thought: | Don't Stop Believin' - Journey (or Free Fallin' by Tom Petty) | | Flashback: | The Freshmen - Vervepipe (or, again if you need something upbeat, Summer of '69 - Rockapella) | | Partying: | Salt Shaker - Ying Yang Twins | | Happy dance: | Little Latin Lupe Lu - The Righteous Brothers (or Smiley Faces - Gnarls Barkley) | | Regreting: | Boulevard of Broken Songs - Green Day, Oasis, & Eminem | | Long night alone: | All By Myself - Jamie O'Neal | | Death scene: | Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve | | Closing credits: | Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day |
also, i recently purchased a coat online. it's a lovely shade of deep purple, nice and warm, fits like a dream. there is only one problem. this was the last line of the description: Domestic wool/nylon with polyester lining. that gave no indication of the hideousness of this lining....
i mean REALLY! if i had seen this in a store i wouldn't have even tried it on. i love the coat so much though, my only hope is to buy some silk dye and have my mom dye it. otherwise *sigh* i'll just sent it back. seriously, it looks like old lady drapery.

| so, the first few times i listened to this song i was under the impression that it was just typical angry girl music. which i enjoy. by no means am i an angry girl, but i like listening to songs by those that are. however, once i really listened to it, it confused me because. i mean, the first line of the song is this....
One night to you Lasted six weeks for me
and then later on, there's this....
But don't worry about regret or guilt cause I never knew your name I just want to thank you Thank you From the bottom of my heart For all the sleepless nights And for tearing me apart
you never knew his name? so basically, you had a one night stand and are still obsessed over this guy. that's not angry girl, that's creepy, obsessive, way-to-emotional, stalker girl. i feel sorry for the guy she's singing about.
i feel the need to talk about my shows. at this point, there's only about five shows that i still attempt to watch. Gilmore Girls comes on tonight, which i am excited about, since i missed the premiere last week. and of course i'm waiting to see what's going to happen with Jim and Pam on Thursday.
(if you're a YouTube freak as well, you may know that in one of the many videos dedicated to these two, they play that song and it's just so sweet and sad. yes. i am a dork. and i'm ok with that.)
we have a Friday the 13th this month. there are many things in life i love more than Friday the 13ths....but i still like them a good deal. not even for a real reason. i've never seen any of those movies and i'm not a witch or the slightest bit superstitious. i think just the whole hoopla around it amuses me.
